CHINCHINIM: Sucaldem Youth Club edged past BMC Carmorod 3-2 to move into the next round of the Jumbo Chik Chik Memorial inter-ward football tournament, organised by Friends Circle at Our Lady Of Hope Church ground, Chinchinim, on Monday.
Both teams started the match on a positive note. It was Sucaldem YC’s Allot Antao opened the score-line in the 18th minute which was connected by Aaron Antao.
As the match progressed, in the 29th minute, Aaron Antao doubled the lead. While Myron pulled a goal back for BMC Carmorod in the 30th minute, Lenin D’Costa of Sucaldem made it 3-1 in the 34th minute. With just three minutes left for the final whistle, Myuon made it 2-3 for BMC Carmorod .
