PANJIM: Super Goans FC emerged GFA’s Under-13 Boys Bardez champions edging past Dunes SC in the tie-breaker 4-3 in the finals at Duler stadium, Mapusa on Monday. The teams were level 1-1 at full time.
Super Goans were at their best in the second half, with the Dunes goalkeeper effecting smart saves.
It was Joel Passoni who put Super Goans into the lead in the 35th minute through a power-packed effort. However, Dunes equalised in the 43rd minute through Shelroy Fernandes.
Joel, Huey Gillon, Aryan Lingudkar scored for Super Goans in the tie-breaker. Velen D’Sousa, Jayden Fernandes netted for Dunes.
Following prizes were awarded: Best goalkeeper Xavier of Super Goans. Player-of-the match Joel Passoni. Best defender Chris D’Costa of Super Goans. Best striker Shelroy Fernandes of Dunes.
