CHICALIM: Mormugao United Cultural and Sports Club grounded Chicalim Sports Club 2-0 in the GFA’s Second Division Football League match, at Chicalim ground, on Saturday.
The teams displayed attractive football. Chicalim SC’s Nickson D’Costa made a swift move in the rival territory but the rival defence stood their ground.
Soon, Mourmugao United’s Sushant Borkar had a go but his effort went wide.
The deadlock was finally broken by Sushant Borkar with a rasping left-footer in the 34th minute.
After the lemon break, Sushant secured his brace in the 89th minute with a fine placement.
