Sushil Nayak beat Shourya Joshi 21-13, 16-21, 21-14 in the boys final. In the girls U15 Lydia Barreto had a rather easy game defeating Yasmin Sayed in straight sets 21-16, 21-11.
In the men’s singles, Parteek Mahajan got the better of Floyd Araujo in straight sets 21-19, 21-14.
Navneet Nasnodkar and his counter-part Sunny Sawant bagged the men’s doubles crown as they beat Tejan Fallary and Dhruv Angle in straight sets 21-13, 21-18. For Navneet, it was his 5th men’s doubles title of the season.
Floyd Araujo and Pranjal Chimulkar won their first mixed doubles title as a pair, defeating Navneet Nasnodkar and Anushka Kuvelkar in three sets 21 -15, 13-21, 21-17.
The U13 boys and girls titles were won by Shourya Joshi and Arshia Gautam while Vaman Fallary and Laxmikant Kenaudikar scored a hard fought victory to win the veterans 50+ doubles event. Ainesh Srivastava won U10 Boys singles.
Promising Player prizes were awarded to Yash Desai, Aashutosh Dhavalikar, Sachi Dhavalikar and Rhea Kanji.
Margao Municipal Council chairperson Babita Angle Prabhudesai, GBA president Narahar Thakur, GBA secretary Sandeep Heble, Chairperson, Social Welfare Board Kamalini Painguinkar, Rasik Memorial Trust trustees Tanuja Painguinkar, Raju Painguinkar and Anil Painguinkar were present for the finals.
