MARGAO: Tahir Khan of Mapusa set the Navelim track ablaze wining the Stunt Goa motor cross race and attended by nearly 5,000 fans with a dazzling display organized by Goa Motor Cross Sports Club at Navelim on Sunday.
Vellon Fernandes of Mapusa who came second also delighted the crowds. Ketan Naik of Ponda bagged the third spot. Team Frank of Panjim provided glimpses of various stunts in the demo category.
Fisheries Minister Avertano Furtado was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of George Baretto. The race was organized under the stewardship of Ibrahim Thakker.
