Talasha breaks 2nd record

JAIPUR, JUNE 24
Talasha Prabhu of Goa set a new meet record in 50 meter freestyle girls group-I with 00.27.88 on Wednesday. She had also set a new meet mark in the girls 200 meter freestyle in the 36th Junior National Aquatic Championship, here on Tuesday.
Talasha broke the 15-year old record of Shika.
AP Gagan of Karnataka bagged his second gold with a new meet record in boys 1,500m freestyle event on Wednesday.
The morning session belonged to Gagan, who is also in the Indian team for the first Asian Youth Games in Singapore next week.
Gagan, who had bagged his first gold in the boys group-I 200 meter freestyle, proved his endurance by winning his second gold with a new meet record timing of 16.17.22 in 1,500 meter boys freestyle.
Saurav Sangvekar (Maharashtra) with a timing of 17.24.58 won the silver.  Gauri Desai of Maharashtra created a new mark in girls 50 meter breast stroke with 00:37.06 improving upon the old record of Purva Shetty (00:37.48) set in 2007.
T Sneha of Karnataka too set a new record in 50 meter freestyle with a timing of 00.28.47.
