RAIA: Andhra Pradesh defeated Rajasthan 2-0 in the 27th Senior Women’s National Football Championship Group II match at Nehru stadium, here today.
Rajasthan missed chances to score through Mamta Gurjar and Bobby Rupal in the 9th and 18th minutes respectively.
Later in the second half, Ashwini Priya Ingidibilli sent in a long ball to Tamatapu Aruna who was prowling into Andra Pradesh box. She controlled it well and shot from close range to open the account in the 70th minute. It was again Tamatapu Aruna who netted the second goal for Andra Pradesh in the 70th minute.
The match between Odisha and Himachal Pradesh ended in a 3-3 draw.
Malati Munda opened the scoreline for Odisha in the 2nd minute itself and Josada Munda made it 2-0 in the 20th minute. Riya Sharma of Himachal reduced the margin in the 26th minute. However, Sumitra Hembram scored the third for Odisha in the 32nd minute.
Himachal, later in the second half, netted two more goals through Ponam and Anju in the 53rd and 70th minutes respevtively and levelled terms.
