PANJIM: Goa’s badminton sensation Tanisha Crasto, paired with the talented Dhruv Kapila clinched gold in the mixed doubles event at the Yonex-Sunrise 85th Senior National Badminton Championships 2023.
The duo who had emerged victorious at the Odisha Masters Super 100 International badminton tournament earlier this month secured their victory with a commanding performance, triumphing over their opponents Nitin Kumar and Navdha Manglam with a scoreline of 21-13, 21-8.
Goa Badminton Association secretary Sandeep Heble while congratulating the duo said, “This is a historic first gold medal for Goa at the senior badminton nationals. Who else, but it had to be Tanisha who has done Goa and India proud on numerous occasions previously. The Nationals gold medal is a proud honour for all of us here in Goa.”
