Tanisi clinches triple TT crown

Wesley, Nagesh win double crown each

PANJIM: Tanisi Kirtani won the triple crown while Wesley do Rosario and Nagesh Verenker won double crown each in the 1st Naguesh and Sushila Verenker Memorial All-Goa major ranking table tennis tournament organized by Chandor Club under the aegis of Goa Table Tennis Association, at Chandor Club Complex, on Sunday. 
The following are the results of the finals: Mini Cadets Boys: Akshan Lawande beat Sohan Patil 3-0 (11-6, 11-8, 11-7) and Girls: Simran Kubal beat Trusha Hammnavar 3-0 (11-2, 11-7, 11-2). 
Cadet Boys: Nagesh Verenker beat Aanshuman Agarwal 3-1 (11-13, 11-8, 11-8, 11-6) and Girls: Sneha Mesrt beat Aalya Arora 3-2 (6-11, 11-8, 5-11, 12-10-11-5).
Sub Junior Boys: Nagesh Verenker beat Aanshuman Agarwal 3-2 (7-11, 11-8, 4-11, 11-4, 11-5) and Girls: Tanisi Kitani beat Tanya Patil 3-0 (11-3, 11-9, 11-5).
Junior Boys: Wesley Do Rosario beat Rutuj Sonawane 3-0 (11-5,11-9,11-4) and Girls: Tanisi Kitani beat Prutha Parriker 3-0 (11-1,11-4,11-5).
Ladies: Tanisi Kirtani beat Prutha Parrikar 3-0 ( 11-9,11-6,11-3) and Men: Wesley Do Rosario beat Dhiraj Rai 4-3 (8-11,13-15,11-9,20-18,9-11,11-7,11-7).
Veterans singles: Above  40 years: Noel Noronha beat Sachin Soares 3-0 (11-9, 11-4, 11-3). Above 50 years: Deepak Gopani beat Arun Naik 3-1 (11-7, 9-11, 11-5, 11-6). Above 60 years: Vishnu Kolwalker beat Prakash Alfonso 3-0 (12-10, 11-4, 11-7).
Dr Sanjeev Dalvi, director of Health Services was the chief guest.
Vero Nunes, president, Goa Table Tennis Association (GTTA); Santosh George, GTTA vice president; Dominic Mendes, president, Chandor Club and Sudin Verenker, organizer, graced the prize distribution function.
