RAIA: Tarivaddo 2 trounced Banda 2 by 8-0 margin to move into the next round of Regina Martyrum Parish Cup 2023 inter-ward 5-a-side football tournament organised by Regina Martyrum Parish for the villagers of Assolna and Ambelim, at Assolna Church ground, on Tuesday.
Jeral D’Silva scored in the 3rd, 8th, 12th and 21st minutes. Jaden Cardozo scored in the 9th, 17th and 22nd minute and Valanko Dias and Noel Fernandes scored in the 20th and 29th minutes respectively. John pulled one back for Banda 2 in the 27th minute. Man-of-the-match was awarded to Jeral D’Silva.
In another match, CGC and Ambelim 1 played out an entertaining draw with both teams scoring three goals each.
Jenniton scored two quick goals for Ambelim 1 in the 2nd and 5th minute. Hayden scored two goals for CGC in the 11th and 15th minute whereas Atlee D’Silva scored in the 25th minute. Naju scored an equaliser in the 26th minute for Ambelim 1. Man-of-the-match award was awarded to Hayden of CGC.
