PANJIM: Tarvalem Sports Club defeated Seiko Club by four runs to enter the final of the 35th Nanda Lolayekar Trophy, at Nirakar Maidan, Mashem, on Sunday.
Tarvalem won the toss and elected to bat wherein they scored a total of 197 runs in 34.4 overs before they were bowled out by Seiko Club.
Kallol Maitra starred as he scored 77 runs while Rohan Belekar (40) and Aditya Suryvanshi (29) were the other top scorers for the team.
Utkarsh Agarwal took three wickets, Rishi Agrahar picked two wickets while Amulya Pandhrekar, Shrinivas Fadte and Deepraj Gaokar took a wicket each for Seiko Club.
In reply, Seiko Club managed to score 193/9 in the allotted 35 overs. Regan Pinto (39), Ishan Gadekar (38) and Yash Nahar (32) were the top scorers for Seiko Club.
Basauraj Madar picked two wickets while Suyash Prahudesai, Somesh Prabhudesai and Sachin Bukkam took a wicket each to help Tarvalem edge out through the semis.
Margao Cricket Club and Tavalem Cricket Club will play in the final of the tournament, on April 2.
