PANJIM: Teddy Cardozo of Fr Agnel High School, Pilar put up a flawless display in the U-17 event to guide Fr Agnel High School, Pilar to become the champions at the recently concluded State Mini, Secondary and Higher Secondary Athletic meet, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, recently.
Teddy was also awarded the trophy for the Best individual athlete as he bagged a hat-trick of gold medals by winning the 400m, 800m and 1,500m to single handedly guide his school to the overall champion trophy for U-17 boys.
When asked about his performance, a jubilant Teddy said that he was very happy that all his hard work had finally paid off and it was a very proud moment for him on winning the trophy for his school and himself. He also thanked his coach for guiding and training him to achieve his goal. Teddy has be selected to represent the State at the 61st National School athletic meet to be held in Kerala and is confident of putting up a good performance and returning home with a medal.
