VASCO: United Club of Telaulim scored a convincing 3-0 victory over St Savio Sports Club, Calangute to sail into the semi-finals of 40th all-Goa HQ-NRB Bandodkar memorial inter-village football tournament at MPT ground, Baina, here, Thursday. The winners led 2-0 at the breather.
Telaulim scored their first goal midway into the first half when St Savio goalkeeper Juje Siddhi blocked Borwin Teles’ powerful effort which eventually fell to Alvito Colaco, who headed in.
Ten minutes later, Borwin provided a defence splitting pass for Milton Gomes, who beat goalkeeper Siddhi.
Telaulim caught their rivals on a counter with Bittu Singh scoring off Wilfred Pires.
Milton Gomes of Telaulim was declared man-of-the-match.
