NAVELIM: Goa Velha SC got the better of UC Benaulim 3-1 to move into the quarter- final of the late Jose Bento Furtado Memorial football tournament, at Rosary ground, Navelim, on Thursday.
Yogendra Thapa scored a hat-trick for Goa Velha –scoring in the 28th, 50th and 54th minute, while Kenneath Fernandes pulled a goal back for Benaulim in the 56th minute. Goa Velha SC will meet the winners of Navelim SC and St Rock YC, Majorda in the quarter-final on November 3.
