CURCHOREM: The Mount Mary, Chincham-Sanguem clinched defeated Fatima Boyz, Tilamol 2-0 to clinch the the title of the 2nd All Goa 9-a-side football tournament, organised by Santnamol Boyz of Ambaulim, at Ambaulim ground, on Sunday.
In the 10th minute Mount Mary got an opportunity to open their account through the powerful shot of Kamlesh Gaonkar.
Mount Mary in the right earnest managed to double the score through striker Linker Colaco in the 27th minute.
Mount Mary awarded trophy and Rs 30,000 while Tilamol pocketed Rs 20,000 and trophy.
Deputy Chief Minister Chandrakant (Babu) Kavlekar was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of Chairperson of Quepem Municipality Dayesh Naik, Councillors William Fernandes, Paulo Fernandes, Parish Priest of Ambaulim church Fr. Savio Viegas, Organising President Zivito Carvalho and Secretary Caviton Fernandes.
