PEDDA-BENAULIM: The Sports Hustle (TSH Goa), Navelim trounced Varca United 5-0 to move into quarter-finals of the New Era Club Inter-village Under-14 tournament trophy, organised by New Era Club, Benaulim at Xemu Moll ground, Benaulim on Tuesday.
Navelim took the lead through Denver Pires in the 8th minute and kept the tempo going as they increased the lead in 15th minute through Aryan Arawade who’s sublime volley beat Varca keeper hands down to keep the score line 2-0 at half time.
Crossing over it was never looking back for Navelim as Shulock, Velroy and Fayaz took the control of the midfield and dominated the play.
Varca tried to gain control of the match through Shanon Fernandes who was the lone star for Varca United.
As the game progressed Navelim added three more goals through Velroy, Emanuel and Roflan and sealed the game in their favour. Shulock Dias of The Sports Hustle was adjudged man-of-the-match.
