The tournament will give exposure and experience for the boys: Benjamin

PANJIM: Futsal Association of Goa President Benjamin Silva said, ”We had a fair selection trials as we had announced the trials in May. Many National players had joined the camp and the entire decision was left to the coach.”
The team has been pooled in Group B and will play against Mexico, Sweden and Australia.
“We are delighted and all set for this tournament. We know it wouldn’t be an easy outing as we will be playing against the best teams across the world. Getting positive results will be difficult but not impossible and our boys have worked hard for over 100 days and they are determined to give their best. One thing I can say is that the experience they get back will be huge. This will help us to get better in years to come,” said Benjamin.
“We can only improve on our standards participating in such events where we get opportunities to play against the world’s best and learn from them and I believe the boys will learn from this tournament,” expressed Benjamin.
“I would like to thank Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Sports Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar, Executive Director VM Prabhudesai, GFA President Churchill Alemao for their support and helping us in getting this team ready for the IFA World Cup,” concluded Benjamin Silva.
