PANJIM: Tilamola United Sports Club scored a fluent 6-3 win over Uguem Rising Club in the Goa Football Association Third Division League, at Tilamola ground, on Friday.
It was Macklon Colaco, who stole the limelight as he netted a fine treble influencing his side to full points.
Tilamola United opened the scoring in the first minute itself through Assli Carvalho. But once up in the game, it was more of a balance football as Uguem Rising Club put up a strong collective team effort to hold their opponents.
However, in the 35th minute, Alvino Carvalho netted the team’s second as they led 2-0 at the break. In the second half, Uguem scored through Lawren Fernandes in the 58th minute. Uguem had their chances to level terms but they failed to grab the opportunity.
In the 67th minute, Tilamola United scored the third through Macklon Colaco. Lawren once again got on the score sheet and made it 2-3.
Macklon scored three more goals to take the final tally to six. However, there was more to the game which saw the second hat-trick of the evening and this time it was Lawren who completed his treble netting in the 88th minute.
In another match at Cavelossim ground, Carmona Sports Club scored a thrilling 3-2 win over Dramapur SC. Sydon Furtado scored a brace for the winners while Eltrim Viegas was the other goalscorer. Akshay Konkre and Aston Fernandes scored for Dramapur.
At Siolim ground, St Sebastian SC and Holy Cross Arambol played out a 1-1 draw.
Rahul Naik put St Sebastian ahead in the first session but Holy Cross Arambol made it all square through Anthony Fernandes. In the second half, Holy Cross were reduced to 10-men after Hemant Rodrigues received marching orders for his second booking.
In another match at Navelim ground, Parish Youth Nuvem eased past Arlem Youth Association with a 2-0 win.
