TIVIM: Tivim SC shot-out Danva Boys via the tie-breaker to win the 1st Tivim inter-ward football festival tournament organised by Tivim SC, at Tivim panchayat ground, on Sunday.
Danva Boys took the lead in first 5 minutes through Santil’s header, However the joy was short-lived as Danva Boys conceded own goal.
At half time score-line was 1-1
Post resumption, Danva took the lead through Manthan who shot the ball in the right corner.
It all looked as as though Danva were going to walk away as the winners until in the dying minutes, Edler Pereira equalised for Tivim SC.
In the resultant tie-breaker, Tivim SC proved to be better shooters.
Chief guest Omkar Vaigankar gave away the title to the winners while Fr Joseph Correia commiserated the runners-up.
Fr Mariano Silveira gave away the third place prize RST Madel.
