TN score 65-run win over Goa

J G Subhash scored a quick-fire 81 to help Tamil Nadu notch up an impressive 65-run victory over hosts Goa in P S Rama Mohan South Zone inter-state cricket tournament at Dr Rajendra Prasad Stadium, Margao on Saturday.
Hosts Goa won the toss and decided to field.  Tamil Nadu made 230 all out in 48.5 overs.
J G Subhash facing 66 balls, hit eight fours and three sixes and scored 81. S  Anirudh (20) and V Rajnikant (11) chipped in with useful runs for Tamil Nadu. Minad Pawaskar (3/27) and Amit Yadav were the pick of the Goa bowlers, while Surabh Bandekar, Harshad Gadekar, Budhadev Mangaldas and Reagan Pinto shared one wicket each.
In reply, Goa were bundled out for 165 in 40.1 overs. Barring Suraj Dongre (34), Surabh Bandekar (14), Madhu Kamat unbeaten (31) and Reagan Pinto (15), the others failed to make a big score.
S Suresh Kumar  (4/15) topped among Tamil Nadu bowlers while Y Mahesh, V Rajnikant and Devendran and Rahil Shah shared one wicket each.
With this win, Tamil Nadu accumulated five points including a bonus point.
In another match at SAG grounds, Hyderabad beat Kerala by 26 runs. Batting first, Hyderabad made 239 all out in 47 overs. Opener D B Ravi Teja cracked 88. Teja in his stay of 54 minutes, facing 42 balls hit eight fours and was well supported by Gautam Reddy (52), Akshat Reddy (34) and Neerat Kumar (32).
For Kerala, leg spinner Ramesh and Surjit captured three wickets each while Prashant P was the other successful bowler scalping two wickets. Vilas N Kutty and Valid N V shared one wicket apiece.
In reply, Kerala were skittled out for 213 in 44 overs. Tejas CM (52) and Arun P (45) and Vikas Kutty (37) were the chief scorers. Vishal Sharma (2/35), Paramveer Singh (2/40) shone with the ball for Hyderabad.
