PANJIM:  Looking back at the organisation of the first phase of Airtel Goa Pro League, wherein Churchill Brothers are leading with 23 points to their credit, parking at the venue is a matter of concern.
With the I-League getting underway tomorrow, Mr Gajanan  Kerkar, a senior Executive member  of the Goa football association and organising secretary of the Goa Pro League has done a commendable job, in the smooth flow of the Goa League.
Players of various teams were very happy with the cleanliness  of the dressing rooms and the hygiene of the washrooms.
The turf which is of the latest technology has become the favourite of the Goan teams.
Every department including that of the ball boys and the stretcher boys have done their jobs well.
Speaking to Kerkar, he said that the smooth  organisation of the Goa Pro-league would have not been possible without the co-operation of GFA Vice-President, Lavino Rebello, and the ground staff.
Kerkar agreed that the parking space at the venue was limited and did cause traffic jams. He suggested that the land earlier belonging to the Agriculture Department, now in possession of the Goa football Association, could temporarily be used for parking of vehicles during the I-League, which would reduce a lot of tension at the venue.
Kerkar disclosed that floodlights at the venue would soon be a reality as Deputy Chief Minister Francis D’Souza has taken up the mission  to ensure the same.
It is now left for Babli Mandrekar  who has been handpicked by GFA President Srinivas Dempo for the job of I-League organising secretary, to ensure the smooth flow of traffic at the venue.
