DRAMAPUR: Cuncolim Union beat St Jose de Areal 3-0 to move into the quarter-finals of the 43rd St. Joseph Festival Football tournament organised by Dramapur sports club at Dramapur ground, on Monday.
Cuncolim Union’s Trijoy Dias was the star with a hat-trick and his dribbling and shooting power dominated the match.
Trijoy Dias scored the first goal of the match in the 20th minute. Trijoy went on all guns blazing at Areal and fired two more goals in the 62nd and 65th minutes respectively. Milito Gomes and Bensel Viegas of Areal’s power-packed shots were saved by the Cuncolim goalkeeper Hrishikesh Gaonkar in the 68th and 71st minutes respectively.
