PANJIM: Trisha Verlekar will meet Najida Sheikh in sub junior girl’s singles final, at the 4th Naguesh and Sushila Verenker Memorial All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament, organised by Chandor Club under the aegis of Goa Table Tennis Association (GTTA), at Chandor Club Complex. In sub junior girls semi final, Trisha Verlekar had to face a few difficult moments before prevailing to a 3-1 win over a fighting Simran Kubal. The other semi-final was a thrilling contest that went the whole distance.
In the end it was Najida Sheikh who ended up triumphant overcoming Leoma Fernandes with a 3-2 scoreline. Meanwhile, Prutha Parrikar, Trisha Verlekar, Sanisha Shetye and Aditi Chodankar have booked their place into the last four in junior girls singles.
