TSH Goa to promote grassroot football in rural areas

NAVELIM: The Sports Hustle Goa (TSH Goa) announced the launching of their football and futsal schools in Goa in a bid to promote grassroots football in rural areas, announcing their first centre at Cota Cinqo at Utorda.

 Speaking during the media briefing, Jonathan Faleiro, Co-founder TSH Goa and AFC B Licensed Coach stated, “TSH Goa has been established to reach out to children from different sects. TSG Goa will give these children a platform wherein they will be nurtured and groomed under qualified and certified coaches who have played the game at the highest level.”

TSH Goa revealed that they have received participants for their first centre at Cota Cinqo at Utorda and now have postponed their launch programme to a further date which was earlier scheduled on April 26, 2021, due to the govt restrictions

“We shall follow all govt protocols and will ensure all safety measures. We will also take into consideration and stock of the situation and accordingly commence the coaching programme after the orientation and launch programme,” added Faleiro, who represented Sporting Clube de Goa in junior I-League and is also a State futsal champion.

TSH Goa has the support and guidance of top former and current I-League and ISL players which will make the programme even more interesting.

Savio Fernandes, former India futsal captain and U-19 State futsal team coach added, “We have a structured training plan for the kids for their all-round development. Our children-friendly coaches will ensure a safe environment for the participants to be groomed in the most suitable environment. The centres will not only let children learn about the game but also will make them fall in love with the beautiful game.”

“Joy Ferrao, a former I-League champion and ex- Dempo SC striker will lead the Utorda centre. We will also have guest coaches who have performed and achieved success at top level in futsal and football,” added Fernandes.

Earlier, TSH Goa also unveiled their training kits in the presence of Churchill Brothers FC Goa players Clencio Pinto and Richard Costa.

The coaching is for U-8, U-10, U-12 and U-14 children. Interested participants can submit their names to Savio or Jonathan or e-mail to thesportshustlegoa@gmail.com
