Tuff Laxmi coach Valentine Ezeugo is are already setting their sights high after an impressive showing in the last season.
They have strengthened their squad with Nigerian defender Chika Wali, who made the switch from Salgaocar FC.
Head coach Valentine Ezeugo, a man of limited words believes in his squad and will look to guide his team to success. “Tuff is the name of the game”, says Valentine, sending a strong message to rest of the pack that Tuff Laxmi is all fired up to give even the big boys a tough fight this season.
On the other hand, Goa Velha look all set to perform better than last season.
They have retained most of their squad. Coach Lino Pereira has made some interesting signings in the form of striker Oilex Oliviera, who has signed from Guardian Angel SC.
Winger Shubham Shetgaokar is another interesting U-20 player that has been signed who could use his blistering pace down the flanks.
Lino however feels that the only drawback in the team is the inexperience. “We have got a relatively new and inexperienced squad this season, however, I am sure that the senior players will guide the youngsters in the squad thereby enabling the club to get positive results”, he said.
