MAPUSA: Purple Women’s Empowerment (PWE) had an easy outing as they drubbed Crimson Mutual Consent 5-0 in the Seven A-Side Discover Football Women’s Football tournament, played at Duler Stadium, here on Friday.
PWE went into the breather with four goals lead which came from the boots of Acchima Begum, Shruliha Amle (2) and Candice Fernandes.
On crossing over PWE were all over the rival territory, but due to good keeping by Crimson’s Afifa Ahmed PWE could score only one through Rhea Noronha to take the score tally to 5-0.
In the second league match Turquoise Female Autonomy (TFA) registered a 4-1 win over Silver Self Determination (SSD).
Karishma Shirodkar did most of the damage as she scored four goals. SSD managed to pull a goal which was from a self goal by Vanishka.
In the third league match, Cream Gender Equality (CGE) huffed and puffed to register a solitary goal win over Blue Bodily Integrity. Cream colts dominated right from the start of the match but failed to score. A penalty was also shot out by Dhwani Kitchlue in the first session.
However on crossing over Usha managed to find the nets for Cream Gender Equality (CGE). Two more chances went a begging for CGE has Tenzine and Usha strikes rebound off the post.
In the last league match Golden Grow Visibility (GGV) and Ebony Equal Opportunity (EEO) were locked in a goalless draw. It was some superb keeping from GGV keeper Vandana who denied EEO Sushmita and Najwarg from scoring in one to one situation.
