RAIA: Tyson Brothers defeated DX Boys, Ambaulim 8-7 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarterfinals of Our Lady of Fatima Cup 2024, at Our Lady of Fatima Sports and Cultural Club ground, Baida, Chinchinim, on Wednesday.
Tyson Brothers made a good move through Wilson but failed to convert the goal in the 5th minute. Dailon of DX Boys took a power packed shot but was saved by the rival keeper Alwyn in the 10th minute. DX boys took the lead through Dailon with tapping the ball in the goal in the 17th minute.
In the 2nd half, Tyson Brothers pushed pressure on the DX Boys defenders and equalised the goal through Fayden in the 37th minute. Cyril of Tyson Brothers had an easy chance to take the lead but the rival keeper Ivon brilliantly saved the ball in the 50th minute.
At full time the score was 1-1
In the penalties, Tyson Brothers proved to be better shooters, 8-7.
