UC Benaulim, Davorlim score big wins

Beat their respective opponents with 6-1 and 6-2 scoreline; Milagres SC pip Benny XI; St Domnic Savio blank St Sebastian SC; Raitura SC down OL Gloria SC

PANJIM: United Club of Benaulim thrashed United Boys of Dando Colva 6-1, in the Goa Football Associations Third Division League match played at Dando ground, Benaulim, on Tuesday.
UC Benaulim scored the first goal through Velington Rodrigues while the Colva side soon levelled terms through Baptisto Pinto and resorted to defending as the scored remained levelled at half-time.
The Benaulim side held the dominion over the match and constantly attacked though Vellesly and Kegan upfront while the Colva side mostly relied on the counter-attacks and had very few chances at the goal as they rarely made it past the rival defence.
Post resumption, Vellesly Afonso scored to get the get the edge over the rivals in the 46th minute. 
With UC Benaulim making their moves, the Colva side fell back after Stanley Fernandes netted the third goal for UC Benaulim.
Later, Rizwan Rato completed his brace netting a goal in the 75th and 89th minutes while Mefran Rodrigues also scored to take the tally to 6-1 at full-time.
At Artificial turf Fatorda, Sporting Club of Davorlim humbled Enfermos SC 6-2.
The Davorlim side opened the scoring in the 7th minute through Brencio Costa and soon shot into the lead with Joel Miranda slotting home the ball in the 19th minute. The scores at half time read 2-0.
Post resumption, with an aim to make a comeback, Enfermos SC pulled a goal back in the 48th minute through Cajetan Dias and went all out in search of the equaliser the rivals took advantage of the situation as they caught Enfermos SC’s defence off guard and netted through Robinson Colaco, off a counter attack move in the 55th minute.
However the resilient Enfermos SC scored another goal to narrow the margin through Warren Fernandes in the 63rd minute.
Sporting Club of Davorlim wasted no time and quickly netted three more goals with Robinson netting his brace and Joel completing his hat-trick before full time.
Raitura Sports Club beat Our Lady of Gloria Sports Club 4-2, at Raia ground.
Raitura SC scored through Abby Fernandes, Adlex Soares, Doris Colaco and Alois Colaco. Raitura led by a solitary goal at the break.
However the Our Lady of Gloria side tried hard to get back into the game but only managed to pull two goals back through Jesico Fernandes and Schubert Dias.
Elsewhere at Curtorim ground, Maina Sports Club scored a solitary goal win over Fr Agnel Youth Sports Club. Joy Hilario scored the lone goal in the 33rd minute.
In another match at Parra ground, Saligao United defeated United Club of Nerul 4-2.
Trevor Dias opened the scoring for Saligao United in the 9th minute while Alister Fernandes and Stevan Fernandes scored a goal each before the breather to give the Saligao side a 3-0 lead.
Post resumption, Lester Coutinho scored another goal for Saligao United. 
United Club of Nerul pressed hard and tried to make a comeback late in the match but fell short of two goals after Jivit Zambaulikar and Saurav Naik scored a goal each for the Nerul side to make it 4-2.
Elsewhere at Anjuna ground, Milagres Sports Club defeated Benny XI Sports Club.
Saprem Diukar, Sapnesh Gaonkar, Nitesh Salgaonkar and Schubert Colaco scored a goal each for Milagres SC while Benny XI SC’s Steplton Fernandes scored a consolation goal after they were awarded a penalty in the 71st minute.
At Nachinola ground, St Domnic Savio Sports Club blanked St Sebastian Sports Club 3-0. Satish Gaonkar, Vijay Gosavi and Charles Fernandes were the scorers for the winning side.
Peddem Bomm Sports Club and Football Club Siolim played out a drab draw, at Chapora ground.
