UC Benaulim edge past PY Nuvem

United Club of Benaulim downed  Parish Youth, Nuvem 1-0 to storm into the semi-finals of 34th St Joseph Festival inter-village football tournament organised by Dramapur Sports Club at Dramapur ground, on Wednesday. The all-important goal came in the first half through Steve Baptista.
Parish Youth dominated the proceedings but it was United Club of Benaulim who scored the all-important goal in the 20th minute when Steve Baptista headed in a cross from Carlisto Rebello.
Parish Youth also dominated in the second half. Albino Pereira’s try hit the crossbar. They nearly levelled the score but Remy Colaco muffed a sitter.
