MAPUSA: United Club Nerul came from a goal down to hold Badem United SC to a 1-1 draw in the GFA’s Third Division League-Bardez Zone held at Duler stadium, on Monday.
Badem’s Andrew Fernandes put his team ahead in the 43rd minute scoring from inside the penalty box only to find Nerul’s Priyash Parob level terms in the 68th minute with a neat placement, 1-1.
At Vagator PYSC ground: Sai Avtar stunned FC Siolim by a solitary goal win. The all important goal for Anjuna colts was scored by Mohammad Adur in the very 7th minute of the first session. The second session was mostly full of rough tackles prompting referee Sainath Haldankar to flash cards on three players of each team.
At Kelbai ground, Mayem: Valpoi SC drubbed Sirsaim SC by 5-1 margin. Zaid Khan, Ali Aga, Sudesh Salkar, Kavya Katkar and Rihan Khan scored for Vapoi colts while the only consolation for Sirsaim was scored by Joy Fernandes.
At Moira grounds: St Sebastian SC had an easy outing as they walked past Ucassaim SC by 4-1 margin. Graig Menezes surprised their opponents by scoring in the 24th minute of play for Ucassaim, only to find Noel Viegas and Anford Fernandes pump in two quick goals for St Sebastian to go into the breather leading by 2-1 margin.
