MAPUSA/RAIA: United Club Nerul proved to be too good for Guirim Youth C&SC as they drubbed them by 6-0 margin in the GFA’s Third Division League Bardez Zone played at Duler Stadium, here, on Thursday.
UC Nerul went into the breather with a two-goal lead, with Ransley Gonsalves and Leston Rodrigues scoring. On crossing over, Marcus Fernandes, Afton De Costa (2) and Elroy Nazareth adding their names to the scorers list.
At Vagator PYSC ground, Bhumika Sports and Cultural Club registered a hard fought 5-2 win over Sodiem Siolim Sports and Cultural Association.
Pranesh Ashvekar opened the account for Bhumika in the 13th minute of the first session with a neat placement, 1-0.
On resumption of play, Prathamesh Sawant, Sairoj Kalshankar, Pranesh Ashvekar and Aditya Sawant pumped in five more goals for the winners while Leonardo Noronha and Anesh Haldankar scored for Sodiem colts.
At Moira ground, Super Goans FC had an easy run defeating Miracles SC by 6-2 margin.
Cyprian Rodrigues netted a hat-trick while Dalesh Pednekar, Sherwin Lobo and Nathan D’Souza accounted for the next three goals.
Jonas D’Souza and Roger Miranda scored for Miracles team.
At Kelbai ground, Mayem, Valpoi FC thrashed St Dominic SC by 17-0 margin. In a one-way traffic Zaid Khan (4), Nakul Gawas (4), Gulrez Khan (2) Sujeet Gaonkar (2) and Aryan Khan (2) did most of the damage with Dhru Salunke, Krishna Gawas, Alwaz Shah adding their names to the scorers list.
Salcete Zone: At Don Bosco Oratory ground, Fatorda, Arlem Youth Association defeated Raia SC 3-1. John Colaco and Cashburk Colaco scored a goal each for Arlem Youth Association while for Raia SC Ashwin Colaco reduced the margin.
At Chandor ground, Maina Sports Club pipped St Francis AS Gonvol 1 -0.
Edwin Sequeira netted the match winner.
At Rosary ground, Navelim, Sporting Club of Davorlim and Carmona SC played a 1-1 draw. Edvil Afonso netted a goal for Carmona SC while Nevil Mascarenhas was on target for Sporting Club of Davorlim.
