UTORDA: United Club of Utorda defeated Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda 2-0 to move into the semi-finals of 26th Lourdes Festival all-Goa inter-village football tournament in memory of Bernard Custodio D’Souza organised by United Club of Utorda in association with SAG, at SAG ground, Utorda, on Tuesday.
UC Utorda enjoying the large partisan home support started the match on an attacking mode but formidable opponents Don Bosco Oratory were also too good.
Post resumption, UC Utorda made inroads with an accurate shot passed by Filbert Pereira to Flesban Ferrao whose shot was well taken care by Bosco goalkeeper.
In the 55th minute, UC Utorda attack bore fruit with Flesban Ferrao scoring with a powerful shot off Esmial Pathan’s cross pass. In the dying minute, Esmial doubled the lead through an assist by Flesban.
