UTORDA: United club of Utorda beat United Club of Benaulim via the tie-breaker 4-3 to move into quarter-finals of the 26th Lourdes festival all Goa inter village soccer in memory of late Bernard Custodio D’Souza organised by United Club of Utorda in association with Sports Authority of Goa, at SAG ground, Utorda, on Saturday.
Both teams dished out good football infront of a weekend crowd.
Utorda took an early lead through Flesban Ferraro in the 17th minute through a beautiful header but their joy short-lived as UC Benaulim equalised at 19th minute through Linford Rodrigues assisted by Joel through a cross pass.
Post resumption, Benaulim was awarded a penalty which was scored by Velsley Alfonso.
Flesban Ferrao equalised for Utorda. Both teams were 2-2 at final whistle.
In ensuing tie breaker, UC Utorda proved to be better shooters.
