RAIA: United Club Verna edged past Sai Avtar, Anjuna, 5-4 via tie-breaker to move into the semi-finals of Cana-Benaulim Super Soccer inter-village football tournament organised by Cana-Benaulim Sporting Association at St John de Baptist ground, Benaulim, on Monday. Both the teams failed to score in the full session of the match. In the resultant tie-breaker, Lenon Pereira, Roydon Rego, Clive Fernandes, Fulganco Cardozo and Hilton Fernandes netted for the United Club Verna, while Dinesh Morajkar, Krupal Dhargalkar, Saish Govenkar and Akshay Dabholkar shot at the target for Sai Avtar.
