RAIA: United Club of Verna edged past Cana-Benaulim Sporting Association 2-1 to enter the quarter-finals of 45th Cana-Benaulim Super Soccer inter-village football tournament organised by Cana-Benaulim Sporting Association at St John de Baptista ground, Benaulim, on Thursday.
UC Verna netted a brace through Roydon Rego in the in the 23rd and 51st minutes respectively, while Arif Pathan pulled a goal back for Cana-Benaulim Sporting Association in the 53rd minute.
