SIRIDAO: United Football Club Siridao entered the quarter-finals of the 4th London Cup Football Tournament, organised by Siridao Sports Club, defeating SFX Chicalim 5-3, at River Plate Siridao Sports Club ground, on Friday.
Chicalim opened their account through Rahul in the 8th minute off Sushant’s assist.
Chatur equalised for United FC within minute to get back into the game.
United scored two quick goals through Remmy. The striker scored his first with a simple tap in while the second was scored off a free header, 3-1.
Finding themselves down by two goals, Chicalim came back strongly and managed to score as Rahul netted his second of the evening.
United FC scored two more goals through Jesloy and Chutur to take the match beyond the reach of SFX Chicalim.
Rahul completed his hat-trick to reduce the margin for the losers. Rahul had two more chances to score both both his attempts came of the cross bar. In the last minute, Siridao defended resolutely to hold on to the two goal lead.
