MARGAO: A fine unbeaten half century by Umesh Zemne 56, not out, helped New Vadem
Sports Club to ground Hill Top Cricket Club by 51 runs in the Mormugao Zone cricket league, organized by Goa Cricket Association, at the BITS Pilani ground, on Tuesday.
Batting first, New Vadem SC piled up 227 for 6 in the allotted 40 overs and then bundled out Hill-Top CC in 176 runs.

Bharat Kambli and Atish Naik picked up two wickets each) beat Hill-Top CC, 176 all out in 38.5 overs (Deepak Venkatappa 36, Anthony D’Souza 37, Francis Xavier 24 runs. Gurudas Fadte clinched four wickets while Rajaram Satardekar took three wickets).
