MARGAO: Shirgao Sport Club defeated Bicholim Cricket Club by two wickets in GCA ‘A Division Cricket League organized by Goa Cricket Association at Bandodkar ground, Panjim, on Sunday.
Batting first, Bicholim Cricket Club were bowled out at 180 in 43.4 overs. Mukund Kasana top scored with 60 runs. For Shirgao Sports Club, Dhondu Tulaskar was the wrecker-in-chief scalping four for 29 runs.
In reply, Shirgao Sports Club achieved the target by scoring 182 for the loss of eight wickets in 40.1 overs. Shripad Nirbalkar smashed unbeaten 63 runs. He was well supported by Shailesh Govekar, who contributed 42 useful runs. For Bicholim Cricket Club, Pravin Bugade captured four for 45 runs.
