BATORA-CURTORIM: United Boys of Batora Veterans defeated Varca Veterans 2-0 and moved into the semi-finals of the United Club Batora Veterans football tournament, at DYSA ground, Curtorim, on Wednesday.
Joaquim Fernandes opened the account for Batora Curtorim veterans in the seventh minute. Later in the 20th minute, Varca Veterans were awarded a penalty for a handball off Batora’s Sebastian Fernandes which was converted by Charles Rodrigues.
In the 48th minute, Alfred Fernandes scored the second goal for Batora Curtorim.
Varca Veterans tried their best to get back into the game but fumbled with the chances that were created.
United Boys of Batora Veterans will now meet Sarzora Veterans in the semi-finals on March 12.
