RAIA: United Club of Seraulim defeated Carmona SC, 1-0, to move into the quarter-finals of the Fr Gervasio Pinto football tournament organised by Guardian Angel SC and played at Figueredo ground, Pontemol, Curchorem, on Monday.
Yuri of Carmona took a powerful long ranger but failed to pop up into Seraulim net in the 6th minutes. Three minutes later Benson Fernandes of Seraulim shot from close range but the Carmona goalkeeper was equal to the task. This time Benson of Seraulim didn’t made any mistake after dribbling past a couple of Carmona defenders took a powerful shot which crushed into Carmona net in the 25th minutes. Man-of-the-match award was presented to Zeben Dias of United Club of Seraulim at the hands of Vikram Mane, coach of JIRS Football Academy, Bengaluru.
