PANJIM: United Football Club, Siridao came out victorious against St Pedro, Siridao to enter the semi-finals of the London Cup floodlit football tournament, organised by Siridao Sports Club, at River Plate ground, Siridao, on Wednesday.
United FC started attackingly as Jotish scored the only goal of the match in the fifth minute to help United Football Club to enter the semi-finals.
St Pedro dominant throughout the proceedings but failed to register a shot at the rival goal.
In the second session, St Pedro were mounting pressure and tried hard to make a comeback.
The teams adopted aggressive approach which kept the crowd on their toes till the end of the final whistle.
The teams had equal number of scoring chances but St Pedro strikers were left frustrated by the strong United Football Club defence.
The final quarter provided end-to-end action but the efforts of St Pedro forwards went in vein.
