Upcoming Boys enter semis

Upcoming Boys, Baida defeated  Durga Sports Club 1-0 to enter the semi-final of Catherine Viegas memorial football tournament organised by Union of Chinchinim Villagers at church ground, Chinchinim on Friday.
Upcoming Boys struck the match-winner midway in the first half when striker Joaquim got past a defender, moved deep into the rival box and fired past the Durga goalkeeper.
Durga regrouped and instantly took the fight to the rival camp. They came twice close in netting  the equaliser but Jerry Fernandes’ try was blocked by goalkeeper Paulo Rebello and later Joalax’s pile driver missed the mark narrowly.
After the break, Durga went all out in search of the equaliser but Upcoming Boys defenders thwarted their attempts with neat tackles.
