VASCO: United Youth Club of Bogmalo defeated Parish Youth Association 1-0 in a GFA Second Division Round Two match at Tilak Stadium, here, on Friday. They led 1-0 through a superb goal by Ajay Patel.
PYA Consua tried their level best in the second half to equalize but skipper Seagie Carvalho stood like a rock in the Bogmalo defense alongwith goalkeeper Joshiah.
In the other match at Chicalim ground, Chicalim Sports Club beat strong contenders Mormugao United SCC 5-2 in an absorbing encounter. Chicalim were leading by a solitary goal scored by Yaseen Dessai.
In the second half, Pradeep Bind scored the equalizer for Mormugao before taking the lead in the 50th minute through Amol Raul.
Chicalim fought back and scored two quick goals through Rueben and Aaron Fernandes.
Leevan Pinto joined the Chicalim scorelist with a good goal while local lad Aaron completed his brace in the 82nd minute to give victory to Chicalim.
