MAPUSA: Vagator Parish Youth Sports held Sesa Football Academy Juniors to a 2-2 draw in GFA’s Second Division football league match (Bardez zone), at Duler Stadium, here, on Monday.
Sesa went ahead in the 17th minute through Latesh Mandrekar, who finished with a rasping drive after being assisted by Kritikesh Gadekar.
However, Vagator found the equalizer in the 36th minute through in-form striker Anson D’Souza, whose stiff grounder was too hot for the rival keeper.
Post resumption, the pace of the match was slow. Sesa managed to score again in the 80th minute through a superb strike by Ranzil Negredo off a Crison Fernandes cross but Vagator restored parity, five minutes later as Stapelton Fernandes nodded in off a goalmouth melee, 2-2.
