RAIA: The Vagator Parish Youth Sports Club will organise its 23rd annual Vagator inter-village football tournament from July 16 at Vagator Parish Youth Sports Club ground, Vagator.
Sixteen teams will be participating – Assonora United Football Club, Saligao United, Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda, Augustias Sporting Club Pomburpa, St.Savio Sports Club Calangute, Pilerne Sports Club, PVC Association, Youth Sports Club of Colvale, Rossman Cruz Nagoa Sports Club Verna, St Sebastian Sports Club Mapusa, Nerul Sports Club, St Anthony’s Sports Club Marna-Siolim, Goa Velha Sports Club, Guardian Angel Sports Club Curchorem, ABC Sports Club Arambol and hosts Vagator Parish Youth Sports Club.
The inaugural match will be played between defending champions Assonora United Football Club and Saligao United. The finals will be played on August 6. The winners will get Rs 80,000 and a trophy while the runners-up will be awarded Rs 60,000 and atrophy besides individual prizes.
