PANJIM: Vagator Parish Youth Sports Club and St. Anthony’s Sports Club, Marna played out a 2-2 draw in the Second Division League Bardez Zone organised by Goa Football Association, at Sangolda ground, on Sunday.
Stephen Martin’s opened the scoring for the Vagator side in the 12th minute of the game while Siddhart Shirodkar made it all square in the 36th minute for the Marna side. Both teams headed into the break with a levelled score-line.
Moving over, Elton Viegas gave the Vagator side the lead again in the 48th minute but it was once again. In the 68th minute, St. Anthony’s came from behind to score the equalizer through Claudio Rodrigues.
In a game held at Sirsaim ground, Pilerne SC edged past Sodiem, Siolim, 3-2. Devu Sangelker, Anson D’Souza and Anish Fernandes scored for the Pilerne SC while Aniket Agarhardekar and Anslem D’Souza scored for the Sodiem, Siolim.
At Poriat ground, Candolim SC got the better of Xetrapal SC, 1-0. The lone goal in the game was scored by Canuti DeSouza in the 18th minute of the game.
