CALANGUTE: Hosts Vailankanni Sports Club, Morjim prevailed over Adarsh Yuvak Sangh 6-5 vie the sudden-death to move into the semi-finals of All-Goa Vailankanni inter-village football tournament at Morjim ground, Friday. There was no score at full time.
Both teams had a number of opportunities to break the deadlock but their forwards failed to convert the chances that came their way.
In the tie-breaker, Nischal Morje, Avinash Volvoikar, Pankaj Morje, Marceline Fernandes, Samir V and Walter D’Souza converted for Vailankani while Govind Mahale, Sandesh Chopdekar, Rohidas Mhalogi, Vinayak Mulgaonkar and Siddesh Kesarkar scored for Adarsh.
