PANJIM: Varad 7 emerged winners in 7th Sevens Cup, a 7-a-side football, organised by Dzire7 and Baptista Warriors, at Oratory court, here, Sunday.
Varad 7 defeated Mangalore United FC 3-0 to pocket Rs 1,00,000 and trophy. Sairon scored an early goal to give his side an edge. Savio doubled the score and Darrel netted the third. Runners-up Mangalore United had to settle for Rs 50,000. Chief guest Iptisam Shaikh gave away the prizes. Best player Sattar, Mangalore United. Best goalkeeper Savio, Varad 7.
