SERAULIM: Varca SC defeated St Sebastian Union, Benaulim, 7-5 via the tie-breaker to move into the quarter-finals of the Village Panchyat Seraulim cup, at Seraulim ground, on Tuesday.
In the 2nd minute of the game, St Sebastian Union Benaulim netted through attacking midfielder Stevan Baptista long ranger. In the 6th minute, Stevan of Benaulim tried his luck with a solo but was denied by the rival post. In the 29th minute of the match, Keneath Fernandes netted the second for Benaulim.
Varca SC came from behind to net in two quick goals through Princevel Fernandes and Elvis Fernandes in the 37th and 51st minute respectively. In the tie-breaker, Varca proved to be better shooters.
