CHANDRAWADDO-FATORDA: Varca Veterans edged past Joe Cookies Veterans, Loutolim 2-1 to move into the semi-final of the Fatorda Veterans football tournament, at DBO ground, Murida-Fatorda, on Sunday.
Joe Cookies took the lead through Joao in the fifth minute but the joy was short-lived as Urbano of Varca sent a floater to Charles who in turn judged the ball very well and put it in the net to equalise in the seventh minute.
In the dying minutes of the first half, Urbano after receiving the ball from Raju scored second goal for Varca with a solo effort.
In the second half both the teams displayed good football but the score was unchanged.
